Unit 1: Motions of the Earth
Students will understand how the position of the Earth in the solar system affects the conditions on our plant (day/night, seasons, moon phases) |

Unit 2: Sound and Sense Organ: Ears
Students will understand that both sound is a form of energy. Sound is produced by the vibration of objects and transmitted by the
vibration of air and objects. Students will be able to describe the structure and function of the human ear.

Students will understand that light is a form of energy. Light travels in a straight line and can be reflected, refracted, and absorbed by objects.
Students will be able to describe the structure and function of the human eye.

Unit 4: Sense Organs: Ear, Eye, Nose, Skin, Tongue
Students will understand that our sense organs perceive stimuli from the environment and send signals to the brain through the nervous
system. Students will focus on the nose, skin, and tongue in this unit.
